Francophone leaders and residents support McKenney for Mayor

Yesterday, Francophone leaders and residents wrote an open letter in support of Catherine McKenney for Mayor.

"I am grateful for the support I have from the Francophone community," said McKenney. "Francophones know that, in order to protect and improve French language services, the Mayor at City Hall must understand the issues they face. They know that I am always listening and my platform demonstrates this through concrete measures to improve French language services and to pay attention to the issues that are important to them. I am running for Mayor to make Ottawa a world-class city, including for our Francophone community.”

The letter can be viewed here.

"I am proud of our Francophone leaders and residents for sharing their public support for Catherine McKenney. Within hours, 35 people had signed the letter and now others are asking to have their names added. Catherine has proven themself to the Francophone community time and time again. The enthusiasm of all these people has warmed my heart,” said Simone Thibault.
